The event is a point-to-point run/walk from Duder Regional Park to Te Puru Park, Beachlands for the 10km distance and from Maraetai Beach for the 5km distance. See the map on this page.
Being able to run/walk the Maraetai Coastal Road will be an attraction for many entrants. This section will under traffic management so that runners/walkers can proceed inside a coned off part of the road and traffic is managed by a Traffic Management company.
Once through Maraetai the run follows the Tracey's Walk footpath until Te Puru Park. At Te Puru Park runners/walkers will loop around the park before finishing in front of the Te Puru Community Centre building. Note that 5km entrants will have to do an extra distance before the finish to make their distance up to 5.00km.
There will be aid stations every 2.5km and they will stock water only.
All events will be timed and there will be prizes for place-getters in each section. Your bib will contain a transponder and timing pads will record your times from start to finish.
Note that this is a Zero Waste Event so that disposable containers will not be provided.
